Summer Art Classes for Kids

For Ages 5* to 12
*Students must have completed Kindergarten
Mixed Media for older students ages 10-14
For children who enjoy making art! I emphasize fine art materials and instruction, with a changing curriculum of different art mediums. Join us for a variety of interesting projects and serious fun!
This year
we will again be in a large space in central Berkeley (at McKinley/Bancroft)
that can accomodate 16 students. Class time remains 9:30am-2pm, and there are
fun activities and play on the yard from 9-9:30 am and 2pm-3pm. There
is an assistant to help throughout the day.

Fabric
Art: Fun
with fabric: Make all kinds of wearable or decorative items.
Learn a
variety of techniques, including painting, stamping, dyes, and batik.
Pillows,
t-shirts and more.
Work with instant, digital and traditional photography, as well as computer printouts for collage projects. Learn both color and black and white techniques. Create wonderous books of your photos that you’ll treasure forever.
Art fundamentals using a wide variety of media: tempera, watercolors, pastels, pencil and acrylics

Decorative Art: Masks, sculpture, and more. Work with your hands to produce fantastic creations!
